CRAUN Research

CRAUN Research is a Research and Development (R&D) agency
under Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development,
specifically set-up for the development of the sago crop and sago
starch industry in Malaysia. CRAUN continue its R&D programmes
to chart new findings which will enhance its value.

1. INSPECTOR OF WORK (Mukah)
REQUIREMENTS:
n At least Diploma in Engineering (C&S) with minimum 5 years of working
experience in the related field.
n Possess good leadership skill and teamwork and good communication
in Bahasa Melayu and English.
n Have valid CIDB Card.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
n Inspecting construction work and measuring and quality checking
building materials.
n Monitoring progress work and provides report to SO and Engineer.
n Liaising with contractors, engineer and surveyors.
n Familiar with building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological
requirements.

2. SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR (Mukah)
REQUIREMENTS:
n Registered and certified as a site safety supervisor with DOSH and with
valid yellow book.
n 5 years working experience in oil & gas industry preferably and familiar
with permit to work system.
n Able to work and interface across multi-disciplines (civil, structural,
mechanical, piping, electrical and instruments, scaffolding, etc).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
n Support the engineer in the management of technical, logistical and
interface issues.
n To ensure projects requirements are met with all technical specifications
and drawings.
n Supervise construction crews and directly interact with contractors and
sub-contractors on project deliverables.
n Monitoring multi-discipline construction activities i.e mechanical and
piping works.
n Training and overseeing workers on safety procedure and practices
and ensure that all safety standards are met.
